Groves Architects was established in 2012 by former director Robert Groves.
Chartered Architect Laura Goodrick, ARB, RIBA, who became a director in 2021, now leads the practice. She brings over ten years’ experience working within the Yorkshire Dales National Park and surrounding areas, developing strong local links and a detailed understanding of the landscape and planning context.
Her work focuses on high‑quality traditional and contemporary residential architecture, with particular interests in renewable technologies and conservation.
As a practice, Groves Architects creates elegant, functional and well‑considered designs that respond directly to the site. The approach is guided by proportion, space and light, supported by solid knowledge of building practice, craftsmanship and the local planning environment.
Sustainability is central to the practice’s work, with careful consideration of materials, carbon impact and renewable technologies from the outset to deliver responsible, long‑lasting architecture.
